Linens Things 365 Linens Things 365, While Bed Bath and Beyond did report a 10.8% increase in sales for this past December as compared to December 2006, they still fell short of Wall Street's expectations for their earnings. The are a few mixed reports on the internet about how well the company is doing, but it is inevitable that with the housing market continuing to decline, people won't be decorating as much. With the housing market in such a slump, Bed bath and Beyond and Linens and Things are sure to feel the decline in sales over the next year. The slump in the housing market has already affected stores like, Lowes, Home Depot and even Target. As inflation continues to rise, and just about everything getting more expensive, consumers are finding they have less disposable income. Since purchases of new homes have been declining, so has the amount of money being spent on furnishing these new homes. The only silver lining for these stores is that while people can't change where they live, they may settle on redecorating, to change things up. Sateen, Egyptian cotton or percale? Standard or deep pockets? Here is some information to assist you in determining what is right for you. My personal favorite is sateen sheets. I don't sleep on anything but. They are a silkier, softer feeling cotton surface that is achieved by the weaving technique. My personal favorite brand is Creative Living. The sheets seem to get softer after each washing. Pocket depth is simple. The rule of thumb is that your pocket size should be thee inches bigger than the depth of your mattress. Egyptian cotton has been perceived to be the best cotton, due to its long strong fibers. Domestically grown cottons, such as Pima and Supima, are popular as well. If you are like me, that Bed Bath and Beyond and Linens N Things are two of your favorite stores, then please read further. I had been shopping at both stores for years, gathering up goodies to furnish my house. I found out a few years ago that both Bed Bath and Beyond as well as Linens N Things both take competitor coupons. Meaning you can use a coupon for either store at either store. Not only does Bed Bath and Beyond take competitor's coupons, but they take expired ones too! So don't ever throw out those 20% off coupons that come in the mail. Stick them in your coupon clutch, so you have them on you when you go to one of those two stores. Remember, a new Linens N Things coupon arrives every Sunday with the paper, so you should never pay retail at either store. As one TV station reported, a couple had purchased about one thousand dollars worth of drapery, rods and hardware from Linens N Things. They purchased all items and were given two rebate forms. Each one to return to them $200. Thus far, they have not received the $400 they were expecting. According to Linens N Things, the company that was handling the rebates has gone out of business and it left the company scrambling to get the rebates out to people. To avoid having any issues when redeeming rebates, make sure you always photo copy all rebate forms and any necessary UPC codes. Essentially photo copy everything that you send in along with notes and or proof of when you mailed it in. This way if anything does go wrong, you will have everything on hand to collect.
